The Cockroach Theatre Company is one of the longest running and respected professional theatre companies in Las Vegas. Cockroach theatre is a non-profit, ensemble-based theater company that aims to be a center for artistic excellence and a cultural anchor for the revitalized Downtown Las Vegas. Our goal is to produce relevant, provocative and entertaining theatre that engages our audience and fosters dialogue about subjects that matter. Cockroach Theatre has produced compelling, critically acclaimed theatre for the Las Vegas artists and audiences since 2002. We are committed to staging compelling new works from Las Vegas and around the country. We mount 5 mainstage productions a year, many of these are west coast or regional premieres of new shows that are mounted at theatres like The Woolly Mammoth in DC and the Steppenwolf in Chicago. We also shine our spotlight on local playwrights every month with the 10 for 2 short play festival on First Fridays. We are thrilled to promote our upcoming original musical Bright Side, which was written and composed locally. Bright Side will be the 4th world premiere we have mounted in as many years. Supporting new works by local and national playwrights is central to our mission, as well as mentoring and providing training opportunities to student designers and technicians.
